Histochemical demonstration of adrenergic fibres in the smooth muscle layer of media of dorsal-pedal artery in dog

Zusammenfassung Befunde bei Hunden mittels histochemischer Fluoreszenz erbringen den Nachweis des Eindringens von Catecholaminfluoreszenz-Nervenfasern in die glatten Muskelschichten der Media in der Arteria dorsalis pedis. Die Ergebnisse sind histochemisch, pharmakologisch und chirurgisch unterbaut worden.     

高效液相色谱法同时测定罗布麻浸膏粉中金丝桃苷、异槲皮苷、槲皮素的含量

采用HPLC法同时测定罗布麻浸膏粉中金丝桃苷、异槲皮苷、槲皮素的含量.色谱柱为YMC-Pack C18(250×4.6 mm),流动相为乙腈-甲醇(10∶1)和0.4%磷酸,梯度洗脱;二极管阵列检测器:检测波长360 nm;分别以金丝桃苷、异槲皮苷、槲皮素对照品为外标,用标准曲线法进行定量.在0.25~10μg/mL的范围内,金丝桃苷、异槲皮苷、槲皮素的浓度与吸收峰面积之间线性关系良好,相关系数分别为r金丝桃苷=0.999 4、r异槲皮苷=0.999 5、r槲皮素=0.999 6,回收率在85.57%~99.96%之间(RSD小于4.45%).     

Mutations in ATP2C1, encoding a calcium pump, cause Hailey-Hailey disease

Hailey-Hailey disease (HHD, MIM 16960) is inherited in an autosomal dominant manner and characterized by persistent blisters and erosions of the skin. Impaired intercellular adhesion and epidermal blistering also occur in individuals with pemphigus (which is due to autoantibodies directed against desmosomal proteins) and in patients with Darier disease (DD, MIM 124200), which is caused by mutations in a gene encoding a sarco/endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-Golgi calcium pump. We report here the identification of mutations in ATP2C1, encoding the human homologue of an ATP-powered pump that sequesters calcium into the Golgi in yeast, in 21 HHD kindreds. Regulation of cytoplasmic calcium is impaired in cultured keratinocytes from HHD patients, and the normal epidermal calcium gradient is attenuated in vivo in HHD patients. Our findings not only provide an understanding of the molecular basis of HHD, but also underscore the importance of calcium control to the functioning of stratified squamous epithelia.     

PML targeting eradicates quiescent leukaemia-initiating cells

The existence of a small population of 'cancer-initiating cells' responsible for tumour maintenance has been firmly demonstrated in leukaemia. This concept is currently being tested in solid tumours. Leukaemia-initiating cells, particularly those that are in a quiescent state, are thought to be resistant to chemotherapy and targeted therapies, resulting in disease relapse. Chronic myeloid leukaemia is a paradigmatic haematopoietic stem cell disease in which the leukaemia-initiating-cell pool is not eradicated by current therapy, leading to disease relapse on drug discontinuation. Here we define the critical role of the promyelocytic leukaemia protein (PML) tumour suppressor in haematopoietic stem cell maintenance, and present a new therapeutic approach for targeting quiescent leukaemia-initiating cells and possibly cancer-initiating cells by pharmacological inhibition of PML.     

Avian flu: influenza virus receptors in the human airway

Although more than 100 people have been infected by H5N1 influenza A viruses, human-to-human transmission is rare. What are the molecular barriers limiting human-to-human transmission? Here we demonstrate an anatomical difference in the distribution in the human airway of the different binding molecules preferred by the avian and human influenza viruses. The respective molecules are sialic acid linked to galactose by an alpha-2,3 linkage (SAalpha2,3Gal) and by an alpha-2,6 linkage (SAalpha2,6Gal). Our findings may provide a rational explanation for why H5N1 viruses at present rarely infect and spread between humans although they can replicate efficiently in the lungs.

对于一类工作点可变的单输入输出线性系统,被控系统表达为两个典型工作点上传递函数即正则稳定又既约分解的线性内插.文献[1,2]提出了一种固定型镇定控制器设计方法,文献[3]则提出了一种内插型镇定控制器设计方法,文中从理论上证明了文献[3]中提出的内插型镇定控制器能镇定更大范围的被控对象.     

应用压电陶瓷的减振复合材料研究

根据压电、导电的原理,研究了CPE/BaTiO_3/VGCF体系中,机械振动能通过压电陶瓷钛酸钡转换成电能,并通过材料中VGCF形成的导电网络,将电能转换成热能,从而达到减振效果的现象。
